Graduation Requirements
SC Whitmore School provides a fully accredited curriculum which meets South Carolina standards. Credits earned from your former high school will transfer to SC Whitmore School. Your school counselor will work closely with you to set up your personal graduation plan and help you stay on track for graduation.

SC Whitmore School requires only one (1) Foreign Language or Career Technology credit to earn a high school diploma per the state of South Carolina. Four-year colleges may require two (2) consecutive years of the same language or more and also may require three (3) lab sciences for admittance.
Starting with the graduating Class of 2027 (freshmen entering high school in the 2023-24 school year), students are required to take Personal Finance. Personal Finance is 0.5 credits; therefore making the electives count for the Class of 2027 (and future graduating classes) elective count 6.5 credits.
As required by the State Department of Education, students must demonstrate College and Career Readiness by meeting the criteria on at least ONE qualifier BEFORE graduation:
ASVAB: score 31 or higher
ACT: score 20 or higher
SAT: score 1020 or higher
AP Exam: score 3 or higherDual Enrollment: Complete at least 6 credit hours in approved DE courses with a grade of C or higher.
SC Career Ready Assessment (WIN): Level 3 or above
Students 16 and older will be required to take ASVAB
All third year high school students will be required to take the WIN. A test prep course will be assigned to help students reach the Level 3 requirement.
